The winners of the Sacré Coeur KC Council 5499 of Crowley’s awards were, third and fourth from left, Dustin Zaunbrecher and Amanda Cormier. Presenting them with their plaques at a reception honoring all winners of the Diocese of Lafayette are KC 5499 CYLA Chair Beverly Hains, left, and Johnny Hains, right.

Cormier, left, was also selected by the Diocese of Lafayette as the female runner-up for competition at the state level. Presenting her with a monetary award was John Fruge, Diocesan Coordinator for the Knights of Columbus.

Members of the Knights of Columbus Council #5499 recently held its annual Country Dinner fundraiser, which requires a lot of manpower for cooking and meal preparation. Among those working were, first row from left, Andrus Bertrand, Glenn Suire, Nelson Broussard, Nelson Winn, Russell Bertrand, Roland LeLeux; second row, Keegan Bertrand, Allex Bertrand, Trey Gaspard, Kenneth Leger, Chris Hargrave, Mark Dupont, Bradley Lacombe, Stuart Lacombe; third row, Jimmy Winston, Michael Lemaire, Paul Thibodeaux, Al Leonards, Adam Thibodeaux, Bart Wild and Roger Bertrand.

Members of Boy Scout Troop 430 were on hand to serve the meals, including, kneeling from left, Kaden Thompson, Owen Broussard, Joshua Hebert, Zack Hebert, Seth Green; standing, Zachary Dugas, Alex Trahan, Gregory Dugas, Wesley Newsome and Cody Green.
