Notre Dame tailback/fullback C.J. Thibodeaux
Thibodeaux earns offer from Air Force
The offers are beginning to roll in for Notre Dame’s fullback/tailback C.J. Thibodeaux.
The latest of those offers came out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Air Force Academy ventured into Acadia Parish last week and gave Thibodeaux his second offer of the spring. His first offer was from Louisiana College shortly before the Falcons came to town.
The Falcons, who play in the Mountain West Conference, run a triple-option offense, making the versatile Thibodeaux a perfect fit.
At 6-foot-0, 225 pounds, Thibodeaux split time at tailback with Noah Bourgeois during the first eight weeks of the 2018 season while also playing fullback. He racked up 589 yards on 100 carries and scored 10 touchdowns during the regular season
From week 9 through the state championship game, Thibodeaux mainly played fullback and was Bourgeois’ lead blocker.
The Pios senior-to-be also had three receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown through week 10 of the regular season.
With his stout build and 4.6 speed, Thibodeaux is expected to be the Pios’ primary ball carrier in 2019.
Aside from Thibodeaux’s athletic ability, he is also a standout in the classroom. He has already scored a 26 on his ACT and is expected to graduate in the top quarter of his class.
