During historic ceremonies held the morning of Monday, Dec. 4, at the Maison Daboval Bed & Breakfast (the Emile L. Daboval House, circa 1892), located at 305 E. Louisiana Ave., a plaque declaring the property having been named to the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior was unveiled by owners/operators Denise and Jerry Underwood. Here, the couple welcomes a large attendance, including special guests historians, past mayors, family members and friends.

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office recently purchased Chevrolet Tahoes as its new patrol fleet. Sheriff K.P. Gibson said there were a number of factors that went into the change from the Ford Explorers now being used.
