With Mayor Chad Monceaux at the controls, a giant excavator rips through the balcony of the Enterprise Center Tuesday morning. The building had formerly been leased for office space but, according to Monceaux, in recent years it costs the city more to maintain than was being paid in lease revenue. Contractors told Monceaux they would have the building leveled and gone by week’s end.
