Through official proclamation, Mayor Tim Monceaux is urging citizens of Crowlehy to participate in activities and programs to raise awareness of the dangers of domestic violence during October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On hand for the signing of the proclamation recently at Crowley City Hall are, seated from left, Debra Guidry Thomas, Monceaux and Sherry Yokum; standing from left, Janet Thompson, Shonetta Green, founder of Shattered But Not Broken; Jade Young and Acquanetta Minix. Shattered But Not Broken will host a Candlelight Vigil on Oct. 24 to raise awareness of domestic violence.
