A very dry summer is making for a very dry soybean harvest in the Acadia Parish area. Here, a combine kicks up a cloud of dust as it is steered through a field. According to the Louisiana State University Ag Center’s 2020 Louisiana Summary of Agriculture & Natural Resources, more than 20,000 acres of soybeans were harvested in Acadia Parish in 2020 (latest information available).
