Three search warrants net narcotics arrests

Agents with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office remain busy with the growing number of investigations into illegal narcotics within Acadia Parish, according to Sheriff K.P. Gibson.
“Within the last week, three narcotics search warrants have been executed with arrests made,” Gibson said. “We are still experiencing a high volume of crystal meth in our investigations.”
The first search warrant was executed in the 1900 block of Charlene Highway. During this search, 5.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine several amphetamine and dextroamphetamine were recovered.
Deputies also recovered several scales, a rifle and marijuana.
Arrested was William John Pezzuto Jr., 28, of Richard, who was booked for possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (crystal meth), possession of Schedule II narcotics (amphetamines and dextroamphetamine), illegal possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A second person identified as Matthew Martel was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The second search warrant was executed at a residence in the 300 block of Emu Ranch Road near Eunice.
During this search, deputies recovered 3.5 pounds of marijuana, 6.2 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales and small plastic bags used in the packaging and sale of illegal narcotics.
Arrested was Shawn Fontenot, 40, of Eunice, who was booked for possession with intent to distribute Schedule I narcotics (marijuana), possession of Schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
The third search warrant was executed in the 200 block of Kathy Meadows Lane in Crowley.
During this search, 23 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of cocaine, multiple pills as well as scales and small plastic bags for distributing the illegal narcotics were recovered.
Arrested were Derrick Sinegal, 41, and Jewel Pendelton, 28, both of Crowley.
Both Sinegal and Pendelton were booked for possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine), possession of Schedule II narcotics (cocaine), possession of Schedule IV narcotics (alprazolam), possession of Schedule I narcotics (marijuana), two counts of Legend drugs without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
Other narcotics arrest not related to the three search warrants are as follows:
• Michael Chaisson, 21, Estherwood: possession of methamphetamine.
• Jason Fruge, 37, Branch: possession of alprazolam, possession of dextroamphetamine.
• Chris Gautreaux, 48, Crowley: possession of suboxone, possession of Legend drug, possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of flexeril pantoprazole sodium and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Cameron Gotte, 29, Rayne: possession of marijuana, possession of Adderall, possession of Legend drug.
• Danielle LeJeune, 36, Crowley: possession of methamphetamine.
• Ronnette Trahan, 48, Crowley: possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
