A Waste Connections truck empties an “old” roll-out cart after emptying one of the “new” models during regular pick-up Tuesday morning in Rayne. The company currently is in the process of delivering the new, blue carts — one per residence — throughout the parish. Residents are encouraged to bring their old carts to the roadside on pick-up days whether or not they need to be emptied and to leave them at the road for at least 24 hours.
