The Beauregard/Vernon NAUW Branch hosted the event, and the Crowley Branch was recognized for having the most in attendance. The Attakapas Study Club of Crowley met at the home of Wilda Stringer on Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. with 13 members and one visitor present.

On Feb. 1, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Crowley was the site for the church Junior and Senior Ushers and Nurses Ministry Deacon’s Appreciation Day. Deacons of MSMBC and of Jerusalem Baptist Church of Crowley were honored for their dedication to their churches.
