MIDLAND – Chris Breaux’s layup at the buzzer lifted the Midland Rebels to a 68-66 overtime victory over Bell City Tuesday in the District 7-B opener for both teams.

LAFAYETTE – The Crowley Gents hadn’t played a game in over a week and the rust showed Tuesday in their showdown with two-time defending Division II state champion St. Thomas More.
With the first half of the 2019-20 prep basketball season in the books, district action begins this evening for the girls as all four of the area teams take part in their respective league openers.
After a three-win season in 2018, the expectations weren’t especially high for the Rayne Wolves during their 2019 prep football campaign.
