Veronica Fusilier Thevis

Branch - Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, at a 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove for Veronica Fusilier Thevis, 72, who died Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital in Lafayette.
Interment will be in the St. Leo IV Cemetery in Rayne, LA.
Rev. Mitchell Guidry, pastor of St. Leo IV Catholic Church, will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Thevis; five daughters, Christine Thevis Trahan and spouse Shane Trahan, Valerie Thevis Burkhart and spouse Gregory Burkhart, Kyla Thevis Cormier and spouse Christopher Cormier, Amber Thevis LeJeune and spouse Greg LeJeune, and Brittany Thevis Williams and spouse Christopher Williams; two brothers, John “Jonny” Fusilier and Mark Fusilier; one sister, Candida “Candy” Fusilier Russell Jones; 16 grandchildren, Logan Trahan, Leah Trahan, Samantha Trahan, Brianna Burkhart, Austin Burkhart, Jaxon Burkhart, Hayden Burkhart, Olivia Cormier, Abby Cormier, Gabriel Hebert, Zane Hebert, Cami LeJeune, Layci LeJeune, David Williams, Emily Bertrand and Carter Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvis Fusilier and Leiza Belle Richard Fusilier; and one brother, Thomas “Tommy” Fusilier.
Pallbearers will be Shane Trahan, Gregory Burkhart, Christopher Cormier, Greg LeJeune, Christopher Williams and Logan Trahan.
A Rosary will be prayed Monday, June 9, at 2 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Monday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
