Monte William Hoffpauer
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 1 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Chapel in Crowley for Monte William Hoffpauer, 64, who passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at 12:46 a.m. at Calcutta House in Lafayette.
Rev. Christie Brammer will officiate the service.
The family welcomes visitors on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Burial will follow at Old Crowley Cemetery.
Monte was born on Nov. 15, 1960, and was raised in Crowley. He had been a resident of Liberty Six Community Home in Eunice since 1991.
He enjoyed the excitement and noise of watching football games. Monte also looked forward to every moment spent surrounded by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Katherine “Kakie” DuBus Hoffpauer; two sisters, Katherine “Kay” Fruge and husband Philip, and Diana Heinen; one brother, Kevin Hoffpauer and wife Sandra; seven nieces, Leah Lowry and husband Robert, Charlotte Martin and husband Chris, Greta Fontenot and husband Kane, Sarah Rider and husband Andrew, Melissa Higginbotham and husband Kory, Alison Comeaux and husband David, and Lauren Hoffpauer; three nephews, David Hoffpauer and wife Rachel, Dusty Hoffpauer and wife Brook, and Lance Hoffpauer; 20 great-nieces and nephews; two great-great-nieces and nephews; and his long-time caregiver, Annette Sonnier.
He was preceded in death by his father, William LeRoy Hoffpauer.
Pallbearers will be David Hoffpauer, Dusty Hoffpauer, Lance Hoffpauer, Robert Lowry, David Comeaux and Kory Higginbotham.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
