Cynthia Marie Guidry Daigle
Funeral services for Cynthia Marie Guidry Daigle, 58, of Rayne, were held on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 11:30 a.m. in First Baptist Church in Rayne.
Brother Jerry Smith officiated.
Entombment followed in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum in Rayne.
Visitation was held on Friday, Oct. 7, from noon until 9 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home, and continued on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 a.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Daigle passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at 11:20 a.m. in Crowley, surrounded by her family and closest friends.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Timmy Daigle of Rayne; sons, Todd Daigle and wife Heather of Scott, Chris Daigle and wife Katie of Youngsville, and Reggie Daigle and wife Blair of Rayne; siblings, Belinda Dischler and husband Martin of Rayne, Glenn Guidry of Lafayette, and Tammy Guidry of Rayne; mother, Patsy Prejean Guidry of Scott; and grandchildren — who lovingly knew her as “Mamaw” — Konnor, Maddie, Karlee, Kate, Kaide, Karter, Eve, Noelle, Jon-Reggie, Parker, Dane, Lyla, and one on the way.
Preceding Mrs. Daigle in death was her father, Efford “Baday” Guidry.
Serving as pallbearers were Tony Dischler, Konnor Daigle, Jack Trahan, Neal Guidry, Derrick Daigle, and Nicholas Guidry.
Named as honorary pallbearer was Billy Dischler.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to longtime close friends, Mark and Colleen Guidry; and to the staff of Acadia General Hospital and Lamm Hospice for the compassionate care given to Mrs. Daigle.
