Clifford Leger
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at 2 p.m. for Clifford Leger, 95, who passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, in Crowley.
Father Johnathan Janise, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, officiated for the services.
Burial was in Abshire Cemetery.
Visitation held on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday.
Clifford was a Firefighter for the City of Crowley for 25 years and a volunteer firefighter for 43 years. He and his brother Raywood Leger Sr. owned Legers Lumber Yard in Crowley and he was a self-made carpenter for 66 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Sherry Terro of Lyons Point, Linda Doucet and husband Jerry Sr. of Rayne, Stephanie LaBove and husband James of Crowley, Josephine Breaux and partner Tony Louvierre of Lyons Point, and Margaret Richard and partner Steve Faulk of Crowley, 18 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Pryor and husband Louis of Rayne.
Mr. Leger was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Elmenie Leger; his wife of 74 years, Ethel Leger; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Raywood Leger Sr., Dalton Leger, Lorina Fruge, Marjorie Leger and Nolton Leger.
