Julian Arny Didier

Roberts Cove - Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 8, at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Rayne for Julian Arny Didier, 97, who died Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his residence in Roberts Cove.
Interment was in the St. Leo IV Cemetery in Rayne.
Rev. Mitchell Guidry, pastor of St. Leo IV Catholic Church, was the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conducted the funeral services.
Julian was a member of St. Leo IV Catholic Church, and a life time member of St. Leo IV Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Rayne Council 1897, American Legion Post 77 in Rayne, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the United States Navy from July 1946 to April 1950 and received the World War II Victory Medal.
He worked 17 years for Amerada Petroleum Corp. and 19 years for Amerada Hess.
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Henrietta Anna Gossen Didier; three daughters, Barbara Ann Didier of Crowley, Mary Ellen Duhon and spouse Richard Duhon of Tomball, Texas, and Judy Louise Bonin and spouse John Bonin of Maurice; six sons, Michael Carl Didier of Lafayette, Ronald Julian Didier and spouse Kim Didier of Mesquite, Texas, Deacon Daniel Peter Didier and spouse Jennifer Didier of Crowley, Stephen James Didier of New Iberia, Thomas Eugene Didier and spouse Rebecka Didier of Youngsville, and Leo Paul Didier and spouse Claire Didier of Roberts Cove; brother, Joseph Ellis Didier and spouse Edie Didier of Baton Rouge; 31 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren on the way, numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Emanuel Adolph Didier Sr. and Lottie Bertha Lemoine Didier; sister, Rita Violet Lamb; and two brothers, E.A. Didier Jr. and Cedric John Didier.
Pallbearers were his six sons, Michael, Ronald, Deacon Daniel, Stephen, Thomas and Leo Didier.
Rosaries were prayed Saturday, June 7, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 8, noon in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family had requests visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Saturday, June 7, from noon to 9 p.m., and on Sunday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
