John Keith Lamm
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for John Keith Lamm, 77, who passed away due to heart complications on Oct. 19, 2024, at the Heart Hospital in Lafayette.
Rev. Cullen Clark, pastor of First Baptist Church in Crowley, will be officiating for the services.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 am to 4 p.m.
Born in Denham Springs, Keith lived a life dedicated to service, family, and his passion for the great outdoors.
After moving to Lafayette, to pursue his education, Keith graduated from USL in 1970. His career in healthcare began shortly thereafter, as he ran several nursing homes and hospitals. Keith’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own home health business, Lamm Home Health and Hospice, which has serviced the community for over 30 years.
Keith was a man of many passions, but none brought him more joy than spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Coco.
He cherished the moments spent hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren, especially the countless hours laughing and joking. Keith was a big hearted, generous man and was a loving father and grandfather to his stepchildren and their children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Anna Allwein Lamm of Roberts Cove; his three children, Brant Lamm and wife Khristy, Jason Lamm and wife Paula, and Brittany Lamm Meagher and husband David, all of Crowley; two step-children, Lt. Com. Kyle Alwert and wife Ashley of South Carolina, and Alana Marcelle Schiro and husband John of Lafayette; one sister, Annette Lamm Vincent of Lafayette; and his niece Laura Ruth Zuelke; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Becky Broussard Lamm.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, John Willam Jr. and Ruth Miller Lamm; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Vincent.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
