Angela Stutes Oliver

CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Angela Stutes Oliver, 84, who died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at 5:55 a.m. at Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crowley.
Mrs. Angela retired from the Acadia Parish School board as a teacher’s aide in special aide. You could often find her with her friends playing cards, playing video poker, or under the bright lights of the casino. She was always up for a good time.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Father Mark Miley, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services.
Visitation began at 9 a.m. Saturday and will continue to service time. A rosary was recited at 11 a.m.
The burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Mrs. Angela is survived by two sons, Craig Joseph and Curt David Oliver, both of Lafayette; two granddaughters, Morgan Kathryn and Madeline Elise Oliver, both of Rayne; one brother, Paul Stutes of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Oliver Jr.; her son and wife Robert Chet and Cynthia Callier Oliver; her parents, Ojay and Eunice Landry.
The family wishes to thank Leona Spell, Thelma Woodard, Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Lamm Hospice (Jessica Istre, Courtney Hebert and Marissa Sonnier) for their loving and compassionate care of Mrs. Angela.
