Rapheus “Tonky” Da’Shawn Joseph
CROWLEY - Rapheus Da’Shawn, affectionately known as “Tonky” Joseph, was born to Ladaysha Yokum and Dexter Caesar on Jan. 25, 2000.
Tonky was a loving son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many. He graduated from Crowley High School, where he played football and was cherished both on and off the field for his outgoing personality and his talent for making people laugh. He continued his education by attending McNeese University in Lake Charles.
His hobbies included attending trail rides with his family and friends.
He departed this life on Aug. 2, 2024.
He was baptized and attended Israelite Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Ladaysha Yokum; his fathers, Wesley Yokum III and Dexter Caesar; seven sisters, Amiyah Yokum, Andagia Rideau, Aliyah Dupre, Kali Babino, Aislen Caesar, Million Caesar and Karslyn Caesar; four brothers, Wesley (Popsie) Yokum III, D’aunte Sullivan, Brilon Caesar and Karter Caesar; five godchildren, Taylen Guillory, Cardracus George Jr., Cahli Smith, Wynter Lee and Er’ynn Williams; paternal grandparents, Wesley Yokum Jr., Marilyn Scott and Millie Ceasar; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Clara Poullard; his maternal grandparents, Emily Joseph and George Dupe Jr.; his great-grandmother, Audrey Joseph; his two sisters, Chaterra Caesar and Zoeigh Caesar; aunt, Tameka Dupre; and his godfather, Jonas Vigers.
