Judy Chiasson Carmichael
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. at Family Life Church, 2223 Dulles Drive, Lafayette, for Judy Chiasson Carmichael, 80, who died Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, at 5:55 a.m. in Crowley.
Mrs. Judy was a born-again Christian who is now with Jesus and rejoicing with her two sons. She was an incredible businesswoman with a mind like a steel trap and no one worked harder than she.
She was a special lady, the best cook, was kind, and had a special place in her heart for the elderly and shut-ins.
She loved her yard and all its flowers. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Pastor Brandon Miller and Pastor Todd Menard will officiate the services.
Visiting was Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home-Crowley and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to service time at Family Life Church.
The burial was in Fournet Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Judy is survived by her husband Ted Carmichael of Crowley; two daughters, Ashley Doyle and husband Blake of Lafayette, and Summer Helo and husband Henry III of Crowley; three sisters, Kathy Guidry, Jackie Gianfala and Dianna Cherry, all of Lafayette; one brother, Steve Chiasson of Shreveport; one sister-in-law, Linda Chiasson of Scott; seven grandchildren, Blake LeJeune (Chad), Zoe Walker (John), Drew Doyle, Lane Doyle, Brette Doyle, Isla Helo and Amelia Helo; and eight great-grandchildren, Katon Soeseno, Kalob Soeseno Haygen LeJeune, Aubreigh LeJeune, Lincoln LeJeune, Londyn LeJeune, Charlotte Walker and William Walker.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin Carmichael and Joshua Carmichael; her parents, Laodice and Mae Delle Broussard Chiasson; one sister, Marlene Chiasson; three brothers, Kenneth, Charles and Carl Chiasson.
Pallbearers were Blake Doyle, Henry Helo III, Johnathan Walker, Drew Doyle, Chad LeJeune and Kalob Soeseno.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve Chiasson, Mazen Jeyusi, Bill Carmichael, Oliver Carmichael, Mitch Fournet and Robert Cline.
