Loretta Lantz Short

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iota for Loretta Lantz Short, 87, who died Monday, August 5, 2024, at 5:13 a.m. surrounded by her loving family at home in Iota.
Fr. Andrew Killeen, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Her pastimes were flowers, gardening and spending time on her patio. She was a woman of faith that instilled family foundation. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mama.
Mrs. Short is survived by one daughter, Trish S. Daigrepont and her husband John of Denham Spring; three sons, Daniel Short of Iota, David M. Short and his wife Stephanie of Rayne, Douglas R. Short and his wife Cheryl of Iota; one sister, Linda Stemplewski and her husband Joe of Iota; 10 grandchildren, Heather Krause, Lester Daigrepont, Tyler Short, Garrett Short, Greg Short, Mandy Rodriguez, Celeste Henry, Maggie Miller, Christopher Short, Melissa Dooley and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Short; her parents, Remy and Annette Seilhan Lantz; two sisters, Carol Constantine and Sr. Annette Lantz; one grandson, Corey Fontenot, and one son-in-law, Patrick Fontenot,
