AG: Chairman presides during council committee meetings

CROWLEY - The appointed chair of a city council committee is the presiding officer of that committee meeting, according to an opinion from the state Attorney General’s office.

A crew from The Patio Center recently completed installation of a permanent awning on the front entrance of the Acadia Parish Courthouse. The parish had been utilizing a temporary, cloth awning at the entrance ever since the coronavirus outbreak that restricted the number of persons that could enter the building.
