The congregation of Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church is extending a warm welcome to Pastor Brandon Guidry, his wife, Ianeta Guidry, and daughters Seioriana and Jade Guidry. The church family invites all to come and meet Pastor Guidry and his family as he leads in worship and praise and ministers to the congregation and community of Crowley and the surrounding area. Pastor Guidry is from the Crowley area and comes as a Bi-vocational Pastor at Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church. Sunday Bible Study begins at 9 a.m. and Worship begins at 10 a.m. The congregation also meets on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for Devotional and Prayer Service.

Christian Myers and Ava Moody were crowned Mr. and Miss Northside Christian School, culminating Homecoming activities during halftime of Friday night’s basketball game. Christian is a senior at NCS and is the son of Meagan Kelley and Duncan Myers. Ava is also a senior at Northside and is the daughter of Lon Moody and Ashley Moody.
CROWLEY - Early voting closed on Saturday with the Acadia Parish Registrar of Voters’ Office recording a total of 1,771 ballots cast in advance of this Saturday’s general (run-off) elections.
