Similar flags, depicting past royalty can be seen throughout Crowley and Acadia Parish. This year’s Mardi Gras Ball, with the theme “Cimmer’s Playhouse,” will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. at the International Rice Festival Building. Thieves apparently removed the inner workings of the unit, brought it inside the residence and stripped the copper wiring before making off with that unit and a window unit.

CROWLEY - Police are investigating a theft and break-in at 121 W. Eighth St., the former parsonage for First Lutheran Church of Crowley.
