Staff members of SWLA Center for Health Services were on hand Wednesday when Mayor Chad Monceaux proclaimed the week of Aug. 6 - 12 as “National Health Care Week” in Crowley. ‘National Health Care Week’ observed here

CROWLEY - Aug. 6 through 12 is being observed as “National Health Care Week” in Crowley through official proclamation signed Wednesday afternoon at Crowley City Hall.

Crowley firefighters were called to 1209 Mockingbird Lane early Thursday morning when smoke was seen coming from the attic area of the residence. No one was home when firefighters arrived so a forced entry was made. Here, personnel break through a wall panel to get at the source of the fire. By 7:30 p.m. the fire was contained and the homeowners had been notified.
