First Responder Battleground Tourney Nov. 2

Police, firefighters and first responders will square off in a day of friendly competitions Nov. 2 at the International Rice Festival Building.
Plans are being finalized for the day-long First Responder Battleground Tournament ending with a boxing tournament and Jujitsu competition. Each fighter has chosen to fight — for free — to benefit St. Jude Research Hospital.
Kid-friendly activities and refreshment vendors will be on hand for the event.
Activities at the Rice Festival Building from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. are free. Admission to the fights and Jujitsu competition will be $10 per person with children 12 and under admitted free.
More details on the day will be announced as they are made available.
