Rayne all-stars compete at Super Regionals, Sectionals

RAYNE - As the three softball and baseball all-star teams of the 2019 Rayne Recreation Summer Program continue tournament play, both male and female qualifying and sectional tournaments were held over the weekend.
Girls
Following a second place finish at their sectional tournament over the weekend in Kaplan, the Pinto All-Stars, along with the Mustang and Bronco All-Stars participated in their respective Super Regional Tournaments.
The Mustang and Bronco All-Stars completed their season, with the Pinto All-Stars placing second qualifying for their Zone National Tournament July 17-20 in Youngsville.
Pinto team members are Ava Arceneaux, Ainsley Beckwith, Kassidee Bertrand, Addison Beslin, Madison Boudreaux, Kemayshia Dixon, Ella Dupuis, Malaya Gregory, Riley Lopez, Emma Lopez, Gracie Meyer and Elizah Jane Prejean.
Boys
All-star baseball teams of the 2019 Rayne Recreation Summer Program traveled over the weekend across the state for their Sectional (District) tournaments.
The Pinto All-Stars completed the weekend with a Sectional runner-up banner with their only loss coming in the finals during the Erath tournament. They will travel to Youngsville this weekend for their Super Regionals.
The Mustang All-Stars traveled to Jennings for their Sectional (District) tournament. They went undefeated once again and claimed their tournament banner. They will now move onto their Super Regionals this weekend at Erath.
The Bronco All-Stars placed second during their Sectional (District) tournament held over the weekend at Kinder. They will also travel to Youngsville this weekend for their Super Regionals.
