Greetings’ 7th season opens Friday

The seventh season Greetings From Levy Park, Crowley’s popular free concert series, kicks off Friday night.
“This is one of the best, if not the best line-up we’ve had,” said Keeffer Kelbaugh when he and fellow organizers Kyle Gordon and Amy Thibodeaux announced the bands for this year’s series.
“We’re very excited to be kicking off our seventh season and want to thank all of our supporters and sponsors who have been with us throughout the years,” he said.
The Canvas People, an Austin, Texas-based band, will bring its blend of melodic indie and harmony-driven alternative-rock to the GFLP stage for opening night.
Music starts at 6 p.m. from the Greetings stage and continues until 8 p.m.
In addition to the music and adult beverages, a wide array of entertainment is available for children, making this a family-friendly affair.
Various artists also display their works regularly at the Greetings events.
Admission is free and food trucks will be on hand throughout the evening.
Future concerts will include:
• Dead Horses from Madison, Wisconsin, on March 20;
• The Suffers from Houston, Texas, on April 3; and
• The High Divers from Charleston, South Carolina, on April 24.
