The Acadia Parish School Board has joined other entities across the parish and the state in declaring a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.
Mayor Tim Monceaux announced Tuesday that he was closing public buildings in the city due to the threat of coronavirus.
