On Saturday night, several volunteers, board members, and the International Rice Festival Queen attended the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals (LAFF) in Baton Rouge where the Rice Festival received awards for Best Brochure, Best Web-Site, and the coveted “Festival of the Year” in Division 4. This marks the third consecutive year the festival has won the “Festival of the Year” honors. This past weekend, members of the International Rice Festival Association attended the 89th Annual Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention held at the Crown Plaza in Baton Rouge.
