The opening of public schools went smoothly, according to Superintendent Scott Richard.
With one opposed and two absent, the Crowley City Council voted Wednesday night to codify the method by which items are placed on the agendas of regular and committee meetings.
The inaugural Acadia Parish Community Wellness & Resource Fair will be held for all Acadia Parish citizens on Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Rayne Pavillion located at 210 Frog Festival Drive.

Harvesting crawfish is hard work, but an LSU senior from Crowley is part of a team that has designed a robotic arm that helps.
