Results of a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 35 near Pointe Noir Road in Acadia Parish, just south of Church Point, that claimed the lives of two Crowley men and injured several others Sunday evening.
ACADIA PARISH - Shortly after 7 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, Feb.
One man was taken to a Lafayette hospital after he was shot the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 23, behind a business in the 700 block of North Parkerson Avenue in Crowley. According to Crowley Police, officers were called to the scene to investigate transients sleeping behind the building when one threatened the responding officer. A suspect was captured on security cameras in connection with numerous vehicle burglaries that took place in the early morning hours of Dec. 12, 2021, in Rayne.
Detectives with the Rayne Police Department are investigating numerous vehicle burglaries which occurred in the southern part of the city.
Stephen Wayne Myers II, 34, of Crowley has been booked into the Austin County Jail on second degree murder warrant.
The victim has been identified as Pamela Myers, 59.
