Funeral services will be held Thursday March 18, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Duhon Funeral Home, for Shannah Renee Gary, 22 who died Tuesday March 16, 2010 in Rayne.
Survivors include her two sons Peyton Tweedel, and Kylan Gary both of Rayne; her parents Charise Gary of Rayne, and John Cecil Faul of Port Barre; Maternal Grandparents Pierre and Geraldine Gary of Rayne; Paternal Grandmother Vivian Faul of Opelousas; half brother Brandon Faul of Opelousas; half sister Misty Faul of Cecilia, La.

Funeral services for Elridge "Tippy" Washington, 73 will be held Saturday, March 20, 20 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Cunningham C. M. E. Church located at 300 W. Harrop Street in Rayne, LA. Elridge died Wednesday, March I 10 at his home. Wake services will be held on Friday, March 19, from 5:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Elridge was employed at Koury's Jewelry and Gifts until his health failed. He was the Worshipful Master of the R. U. Clark Lodge 4194 and a member of the John G. Louis Consistory # 165 out the Lake Charles area.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 12, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel for Doris C. Hodges, 60, who died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at her residence in Rayne.
Survivors include her husband, James Hodges of Rayne; one daughter and her husband, Carolyn and Mike Allen of Jackson, La.; one granddaughter, Ashton Nicole Allen of Jackson, La.; and one sister, Brenda and her husband Danny Burleigh of Rayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Elizabeth Lavergne Comeaux.

ODESSA, TEXAS –– James Allen Plattsmier, age 84, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at his Odessa home.  He was born in Rayne, LA to Geroge Louis Plattsmier and Fabiola (Chappuis) Plattsmier.  He was a US Army Veteran and worked in oil field supply sales.
 Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Gloria (Bell)  Plattsmier of Odessa; daughter:  Kellye Longoria of Odessa; brother:  Daniel Plattsmier of Franklin, TN; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Assumption Church in Mire for Erick S. Mire, Sr., 82 who passed away, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Camelot Nursing Home in Crowley.  Very Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington will be officiating the Services.

Church Point, La. –– Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Joseph Berton “Baton” Briscoe, 73. Mr. Briscoe, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 7:45 P.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Church Point.
