Xanadu Board plans 20th Annual Mardi Gras Ball

The Krewe of Xanadu, a Lafayette-based women’s krewe started in 1990, is busy preparing for its 20th Anniversary Mardi Gras Ball to be held Friday, Feb. 12, at the Cajundome Convention Center.
With a theme entitled, “Xanadu Celebrates 20 Years...We’re Tickled Pink,” the Krewe will celebrate its signature color pink with royalty court members portraying various characters representing this fabulous color. The Cajundome is sure to be filled with vibrant colors of pink and silver with lots of exciting entertainment.
Reigning over the festivities will be Queen Xanadu XX Lisa Boudreaux and King Xanadu XX Greg Trahan.
This year’s Ball Captain will be Naomi Angelle Maraist portraying the one and only “Barbie.”
The Board of Director for this year are: president Susan Moncrief, vice president Lee Audiffred, secretary Kim Domingue, treasurer Susan Bibaeff, historian Brenda Dudley, captain Naomi Maraist, royalty chair Denise Brignac, membership chair Debbie Mills, parade chair Judy Arabie, members-at-large Debbie Guidry and Carrie Leonard.
