Antoine (Vin) Credeur

Duson –– Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Duson at 2:00 p.m. for Antoine (Vin) Wilven Credeur, 72 who passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 9:45 a.m. at University Medical Center Hospital in Lafayette .
 Vin was a native of Rayne and was a resident of Duson.  He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law and loyal friend.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, camping and with his canine companions, Lu Lu, Peanut, and Lady.
 He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Guidry Credeur of Duson; three children, Sheila and her husband, James Benoit, of Richard, Cheryl and her husband, John Csaszar, of Judice, Tony and his wife, Edie, Credeur of Duson; seven grandchildren, Crystal Castille, Scotty,  Cory and Shelbey Benoit, Jacob and Isom Csaszar, Cheyenne Credeur; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Castille and Kynsi Csaszar; one brother Davis Lee Credeur and his wife, Beatrice, of Duson; and two sisters, Jerry Landry of Sulphur and Gayle Desomeaux of Youngsville.
 Vin was preceded in death by his parents, Orleus and Uta Mire Credeur; two brothers, C.J. Credeur and L.J. Credeur; two sisters, Ruby Melancon, and Patricia Monceaux; and daughter-in-law Rachael Credeur.
Pallbearers were Tony Credeur, James Benoit, John Csaszar, Jacob Csaszar, Scotty Benoit and Cory Benoit.  Honorary pallbearers were Davis Lee Credeur and Isom Csaszar.
Visitation was held Monday, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Church Hall in Duson, and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until services.  
Burial was in the St. Theresa Church Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Rayne.
